Places a subtotal 109 formula in the active cell which subtotals all rows beneath it. Works in all versions of Excel.
The beauty of subtotal 109 over summing a column is that a subtotal 109 only shows the sum of all visible cells. Excellent for analysis with auto-filters or grouped rows.
NOTE:
If you have to place a “!” in a cell as the first character, you must now either double click the cell to enter it, or hit F2 on the cell to enter it — or assign this utility to a new key combo using the custom keys/cycles’ option explained on the ‘Intro/Setup’ tab.
